There is a large open plan lounge/dining room. Two full bathrooms on the bedroom level - one with lovely deep claw leg bath, separate shower, plus a toilet. The second bathroom has a shower, a toilet & basin. On ground floor is another toilet. La Bergerie also has the private garden with outdoor shower, directly accessed from the lounge room and the kitchen. All linen is supplied in the houses, each has a washing machine, iron and ironing board. There is a CD player, fans for hot weather & heaters as well as a wood burning fire for cold weather. Our houses are perfect for people to use as a base to explore this whole area of France as there is a lot to see. Often we have had people who rent for 2-3 weeks and during that time they spend 1-2 days away visiting other longer distance areas of France and Spain. Therefore taking advantage of the ability to leave their bulkier luggage etc behind and giving more time to relax and sightsee plus knowing they return to a comfortable house and are able to do all their washing!

Parking can be in the square and it is safe. You can drive to each house to unload luggage and groceries. If you have a small car it can be parked outside 28 Rue des Remparts.

Near St Roch chapel

Our St. Roch elevated garden is about a 10 minute walk to the back of the village near the ancient Chapel St. Roch – this elevated garden with ancient stone wall facing Trausse has lavender on the front border above the stone wall. Also another row of lavender further back on the land. There is an iron pergola and climbing plants attached with a picnic table underneath for those who may wish to sketch, paint or even have a picnic.

On a clear day you can see the spectacular Pyrenees so this makes it a perfect spot for those people mentioned above. Wild thyme, fennel and rosemary grow well there and can be picked for your cooking needs. There are some young fruit trees and olive trees which eventually we/you hope to take advantage of as well as an older almond tree at the front that has tasty almonds to eat.

Bikes can be rented in the village from one of the locals – forms are in each of the houses to organise the renting.
